We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cutting & Grinding Technician to join our Finishing Department. This position is responsible for cutting, grinding, and finishing metal components to meet precise specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cutting and grinding operations on metal parts using hand tools and powered equipment
  • Remove excess material, smooth surfaces, and prepare parts for final finishing
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy
  • Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with company standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Assist with general finishing department duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cutting, grinding, or metal finishing
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience required
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints or work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles
  • PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, etc.)

Schedule & Pay

  • Pay starting at $15.50/hour
  • 1st shift position
  • 4-day work week
  • Potential for overtime on Fridays
