Express Employment is hiring for a Production Floor Manager. 

The Production Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations on the production floor, ensuring efficient production processes, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and food compliance standards. This role leads production teams, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Pay: $35 - $40/Hour DOE

Location: Chico, Ca

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 6 am – 2:30 pm, Weekends and overtime as needed, work hours may vary

Job Description:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output and efficiency targets
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as FDA and USDA regulations
  • Monitor production processes to maintain product quality and consistency
  • Lead, train, and evaluate production staff, including line supervisors and operators
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Enforce workplace safety standards and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, downtime, and yield
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Food Science, or related field preferred but not required
  • 3–7 years of current experience in food manufacturing or production management
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMPs)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with production planning and inventory control systems
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Fast-paced food production facility
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, machinery, and production noise
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting
