Prep Foreman

Pay: $35.16/hour
Note: Welding experience is not required

Overview

The Prep Foreman oversees daily operations, employees, and production within their department. This role focuses on leadership, organization, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

Plan jobs from start to finish
Assign tasks and manage team workload
Supervise employees and support daily production
Ensure safety procedures and best practices are followed
Train and develop team members
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
Maintain inventory, tools, and supplies
Use systems like Excel and ERP to track production and workflow
Coordinate with other departments as needed
Support continuous improvement efforts

Leadership Responsibilities

Interview, hire, and train employees
Schedule and assign work
Monitor performance and provide feedback
Handle employee concerns and resolve issues
Build a positive and productive team environment

What We’re Looking For

Strong leadership and organizational skills
Experience managing employees in a production or warehouse setting
Comfortable with computers (Excel, ERP systems, etc.)
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Preferred:

3–5 years of supervisory experience in a metal fabrication environment

Work Environment

Shop setting (indoor/outdoor conditions)
Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and machinery
Standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) required
