Mechanical Associate

Located in Fitchburg, MA

Salary: $20-$24/hr

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanic / Mechanical Technician for our client, a heavy equipment company in Fitchburg, MA. This role will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and servicing of diverse heavy equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to, vehicles, heavy machinery, and other related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, ensuring all equipment is operational and meets safety standards.
• Conduct thorough testing of serviced equipment to guarantee reliability and performance.
• Keep the shop facility organized, clean, and safe
• Change oil, maintain, and clean machines to ensure they are in peak operating condition.
• Strip and reassemble heavy equipment that has been used, ensuring all components are in proper working order
• Utilize forklift to move machines/products in the yard

Requirements:

• Previous auto mechanic, machine maintenance and other similar experience preferred
• Proven mechanical experience, preferably in servicing a variety of equipment
• Strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues.
• Forklift operation proficiency preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

This position is Monday -Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm with up to 10 hours of optional overtime weekly. The pay is $20-$24/hr depending upon experience.
