Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee all maintenance operations in our food manufacturing facility. This role is critical to keeping our equipment, machinery, and facilities running efficiently, safely, and reliably. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals, develop preventative maintenance programs, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety regulations—all while minimizing downtime and supporting a productive work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies: Plan and execute preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and upgrades to extend asset life and reduce costs.
  • Oversee daily operations: Supervise the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks—from routine inspections to emergency repairs—are completed efficiently.
  • Manage budget and resources: Allocate funds effectively for repairs, upgrades, and equipment purchases while tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance: Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA and other relevant industry standards.
  • Lead and develop staff: Recruit, train, and mentor technicians and supervisors, promoting teamwork, continuous learning, and professional growth.
    Troubleshoot and problem-solve: Quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Manage vendors and contractors: Oversee external service providers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance for specialized maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize maintenance software: Use CMMS or other maintenance management systems to manage work orders, track inventory, and generate reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Several years of hands-on maintenance experience, including supervisory or management roles (6–8+ years preferred).
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and other facility and equipment systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
    Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, departments, and vendors.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, develop schedules, and manage resources efficiently.
  • Adaptability to learn new technologies and respond to changing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field preferred.
    Professional certifications such as CMRP or CPMM are a plus.
