Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Carpenter for a construction project in the Flathead Valley.

Position: Carpenter

Pay: $28/hr
Schedule: Full‑time | Standard 40‑hour week with overtime as needed
Location: Flathead Valley

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with framing, siding, doors, windows, cabinets, and finish carpentry
  • Install wood and steel doors, frames, windows, glass, cabinets, and countertops
  • Perform general construction support including material handling, assembly, and cleanup
  • Support site prep such as excavation, landscaping, snow removal, and spreading materials
  • Work with a variety of materials including wood, metal, and stone
  • Assist with scaffolding setup and teardown
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
  • Support additional construction tasks as needed

What You Bring

  • Basic to intermediate carpentry skills
  • Ability to read measurements and use hand and power tools
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and safety practices
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly
  • Dependability, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
  • Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

Experience

  • 5+ years of construction experience or journeyperson status
  • Experience with framing, finish carpentry, or installations preferred
  • Commercial construction experience is a plus
  • Equipment operation experience is a bonus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move 30+ lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work at heights (ladders, scaffolding, roofs)
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and dexterity

Equipment You’ll Use

  • Hand tools (hammers, levels, tape measures, etc.)
  • Power tools (drills, saws, screw guns, etc.)
  • Light construction equipment
  • Scaffolding systems
  • Work near cranes and moving equipment
