Manufacturing ERP Specialist – Machinist Shop | Sugar Land

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a precision machinist shop in Sugar Land for an experienced Manufacturing ERP Specialist. This role is essential to support daily shop operations by maintaining accurate production data, work orders, BOMs, and inventory transactions within the shop’s ERP system.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment and can work closely with production, purchasing, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain ERP data including parts, BOMs, routings, and work centers
• Create and manage work orders and job travelers
• Support production scheduling and job tracking
• Maintain inventory accuracy and manage material transactions
• Assist purchasing with material planning and order tracking
• Generate reports for production and management
• Troubleshoot ERP issues and optimize system workflows
• Train employees on ERP processes and best practices
• Partner with management to improve manufacturing efficiency using ERP data

Required Experience:

• 3+ years using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of BOMs, routings, and work orders
• Experience with inventory control and purchasing processes
• Proficient in Excel and data management
• Effective communication with both shop floor and office staff

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP
• Background in CNC machining or metal manufacturing
• ERP system administration or implementation experience
• Production planning or scheduling experience
