Groundskeeper

Located in Roanoke, VA

Position: Groundskeeper

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain outdoor areas including lawns, landscaping, walkways, and common areas
• Perform routine lawn care such as mowing, trimming, edging, and watering
• Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Remove debris including leaves, trash, and snow/ice (seasonal duties)
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other hand tools
• Assist with minor repairs to outdoor structures (fences, signage, benches, etc.)
• Ensure grounds are clean, safe, and visually appealing at all times
• Follow all safety procedures and properly maintain equipment

Requirements:

• Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and maintenance techniques
