Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced 1st Class Structural Welder responsible for performing high-quality welds on structural steel components. This role requires precision, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to meet strict industry and safety standards. Candidates must be able to pass weld tests and work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural welding using processes such as Stick (SMAW), Flux Core (FCAW), and MIG (GMAW)
• Weld structural components including beams, columns, frames, and supports
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Ensure all welds meet code requirements and quality standards
• Perform layout, fit-up, and fabrication as needed
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy and structural integrity
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
• Work in shop or field environments, including at heights if required

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Structural Welder (1st Class preferred)
• Strong proficiency in FCAW and SMAW welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and installation
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
