CNC Lathe Operator / Programmer – Night Shift

About The Position:

Are you an experienced CNC Lathe Operator or Setup/Programmer looking for a stable, long-term opportunity on a steady night shift?

We’re hiring for a well-established Hamilton manufacturer (40+ years in business) specializing in precision production machining — this is NOT a job shop, meaning consistent work, clean processes, and a structured environment.

Wage:  $30.00 - $34.00 per hour 

What You Will Be Doing

• Set up and operate CNC lathes (Mazak, Miyano or similar)
• Load bar stock and monitor production runs
• Make tooling adjustments and optimize speeds/feeds
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Troubleshoot minor issues and respond to machine alarms
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

What We Are Looking For:

• 3+ years of CNC lathe experience (setup and/or operation)
• Experience with Mazak, Miyano, or similar CNC machines
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
• Comfortable working independently on night shift
• High attention to detail and quality
• CNC programming experience (G-code or conversational)
• Experience in high-volume or production machining
• Previous experience working permanent nights
