Direct Hire Opportunity – Sunday to Thursday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Our client is a well-established local manufacturer with over 40 years of experience, specializing in precision components. This is not a job shop! They are currently hiring CNC Operators and Setup/Programmers for the night shift.

This is a hands-on role where you will operate CNC lathes, program setups, and ensure high-quality production in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

What You Will Be Doing

·         Study and interpret mechanical drawings and use precision measuring instruments to machine components

·         Operate Mazak and Miyano CNC lathes, including loading bar stock and unloading finished parts safely

·         Make routine tooling adjustments and changes

·         Inspect machined components visually and dimensionally according to quality standards

·         Generate and modify speeds and feeds as required

·         Respond to program alarms and notify supervisors as needed

·         Perform daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance

·         Maintain material, tooling, and fixtures at your workstation

·         Clean chips, tools, machines, and work areas to maintain a safe, orderly environment

·         Identify and report any machining or part discrepancies

·         Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

·         Follow all safety and housekeeping standards

 

Are You Qualified?

·         Mazak and Miyano lathe experience is a MUST

·         CNC lathe machining experience required

·         Previous night shift experience required

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

·         3+ years of CNC lathe and/or mill experience

·         Knowledge of metal properties, cutting tools, gauges, micrometers, calipers, and plug gauges

·         Basic shop math skills

·         High attention to detail and ability to work independently

Physical Demands

·         Lifting up to 50 lbs

·         Bending, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive movements

·         Moving equipment and materials

·         Working in a loud, fast-paced environment

·         Standing for long periods
