Hotel Room Attendant

Role Overview

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Room Attendant to join our hospitality team in Moss Point. As a Room Attendant, you are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests. This is a physically active role that requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing a welcoming environment for every visitor.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Room Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including stripping and making beds with fresh linens, dusting furniture, and vacuuming floors.

• Bathroom Sanitation: Scrub and disinfect toilets, tubs, showers, and sinks; replenish towels and guest amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.).

• Trash Removal: Empty wastebaskets and ensure all debris is removed from the room according to hotel standards.

• Stocking & Inventory: Maintain a tidy and fully-stocked housekeeping cart; report any shortages of supplies or linens to the supervisor.

• Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any room damage or maintenance issues (such as leaky faucets or burnt-out bulbs) immediately to ensure prompt repair.

• Guest Service: Greet guests in hallways with a friendly demeanor and respond to reasonable requests for extra towels or pillows.

Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for the duration of a shift. Must be able to push/pull a heavy housekeeping cart and lift up to 30 lbs.

• Attention to Detail: A high standard for cleanliness—ensuring no surface is overlooked.

• Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential for our daily checkout and turnover schedule.

• Professionalism: A respectful and polite attitude toward guests and fellow staff members.

• Availability: Willingness to work weekends and holidays, as these are peak times for the hotel industry.
