Maintenance & Remodeling Project Coordinator

Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile Maintenance and Remodeling Professional to oversee and execute property improvements across our Ocean Springs portfolio. This is a comprehensive role that requires a blend of "hands-on" technical skill and high-level project management. You will be responsible for everything from routine service calls to the full-scale renovation of kitchens and bathrooms, ensuring every property meets our standards for safety, value, and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities

• Remodeling & Renovation: Lead and execute interior updates, including bathroom and kitchen remodels, professional painting, and flooring installation.

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular upkeep and emergency repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units to ensure all properties remain in peak condition.

• Project Management: Coordinate with external contractors, track material orders from suppliers, and manage timelines to ensure renovations stay on schedule and within budget.

• Inspections & Planning: Conduct thorough property walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs, assess structural or cosmetic damage, and develop detailed repair/remodeling plans.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all construction and repair work meets local Ocean Springs building codes and safety regulations; assist in obtaining necessary permits for major projects.

Requirements

• Construction Expertise: Proven experience in multiple trades, specifically remodeling, carpentry, basic electrical, and plumbing.

• Real Estate Mindset: Ability to assess a property’s condition and understand how specific repairs or updates impact market value and tenant satisfaction.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using a wide range of power tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic project-tracking software.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in varied weather conditions, and navigate crawlspaces or attics as needed for inspections.

• Reliability: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a professional demeanor for interacting with vendors and property owners.
