Electrician (Commercial & Residential)

Pay: $25.00/hour

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician with a diverse background in both commercial and residential electrical systems. This role requires a technician who can transition seamlessly from high-volume commercial projects to detailed residential service calls. Whether it’s wiring a new office complex or troubleshooting a home’s electrical panel, you will be responsible for ensuring all work is safe, up to code, and completed with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• System Installation: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.

• Commercial Projects: Blueprint reading, conduit bending (EMT/IMC), pulling wire, and installing 3-phase systems, lighting arrays, and switchgear.

• Residential Service: Troubleshoot household electrical issues, upgrade panels, install ceiling fans/recessed lighting, and perform complete home rewiring.

• Code Compliance: Ensure all installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local Moss Point/Jackson County municipal requirements.

• Safety & Documentation: Maintain a clean workspace, follow strict "Lockout/Tagout" procedures, and document all materials used and hours worked for client billing.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in the electrical trade (Journeyman level preferred).

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, multi-meters, and specialized electrical testing equipment.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to climb ladders, work in cramped spaces (crawlspaces/attics), and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required. A state or local Journeyman card is highly preferred.

• Reliability: Must have a professional demeanor for interacting with homeowners and contractors alike.
