General Worker

Located in Utica, NY

Salary: $17.50-19 DOE

 Production Metal Finisher

Shift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts available

Pay is $17.50 to $18.50++per hour DOE

Responsible for plating, anodizing, or otherwise finishing customer parts to requirements. This may entail racking, unracking, basket plating, barrel plating, or wire plating. This does entail working around chemicals and therefore the Finisher must work in a safe and conscientious manner within the ethical, safety, and quality guidelines of the company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

• Verify incoming and outgoing quality and counts
• Rack, unrack, barrel, basket or wire plate per specifications
• Work in a safe, ethical, and quality manner
• Read, understand, and finish per job routers
• Be to work on time every day that you are supposed to be at work
• May be asked to analyze chemistry
• May be asked to change out chemistry
• Get along well with co-workers and work as a team
• Ability to learn and retain information
• Positive, can-do attitude

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education

Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Preferred: Math or Science Major, Some College

Experience

Required: Ability to work with hands to written and verbal instructions Manufacturing: 1 year (Required)

Preferred: Previous experience in metal finishing, sand blasting, or painting

Training

Required: AS9100 training required at initial hire and annually.
