Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant

Location: Biloxi/Gulfport Area

Pay: $17.00/hour

Status: Full-Time (with flexible workload options)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our Gulfport/Biloxi operations. This position manages the full cycle of financial transactions, from invoicing to reconciliations, while providing essential administrative support to the office. This is a full-time role, though we offer flexibility to adjust hours based on weekly workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and BBI software.

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage billing cycles, process incoming payments, and ensure vendor invoices are paid accurately and on time.

     

  • Invoicing: Generate and distribute client invoices, tracking status and following up on aging accounts.

  • General Ledger: Maintain an organized and accurate general ledger, ensuring all transactions are coded correctly.

     

  • Administrative Support: Assist with general office duties, including filing, data entry, and answering professional inquiries.

Requirements

  • Software Proficiency: Proven experience with QuickBooks is required. Familiarity with BBI software is a significant plus.

     

  • Accounting Basics: Strong understanding of AR/AP processes and general billing principles.

  • Organization: High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple financial deadlines.

     

  • Flexibility: While this is a full-time position, the ideal candidate is comfortable with a schedule that may fluctuate slightly based on the seasonal or monthly workload.
