Accounting Clerk Job Summary:
A growing automation and manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations and broader business office functions. This role is responsible for executing core accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable, banking activity, and transaction processing, while also supporting payroll tracking and administrative processes.
The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, improving process efficiency, and supporting overall business operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with accounting systems and cross-functional teams. There is opportunity for growth into more advanced accounting and leadership responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post and maintain accurate financial transactions using accounting software
- Execute and/or oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Manage daily banking activity and monitor cash flow transactions
- Oversee customer credit card processing and ACH/electronic fund transfers
- Assist the Controller with reporting, reconciliation, and other accounting support tasks
- Monitor expenses and investigate discrepancies or irregularities
- Support customer credit management and maintain accurate credit records
- Generate and distribute employee expense reimbursements
- Track, record, and submit payroll hours and maintain attendance records
- Collaborate with ERP software providers to improve accounting system functionality
- Oversee product return processes and related documentation
- Maintain organized filing systems and administrative records
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $50,000 – $68,000 annually
