Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist with a proven track record in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, aerospace materials, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes to produce aerospace components with tight tolerances.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequences.
Program CNC machines using CAM software such as Mastercam or Siemens NX, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters based on material type, geometry, and production requirements.
Conduct in-process inspection using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to optimize machining processes and resolve technical issues.
Document work activities, production data, and quality records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in the aerospace industry.
Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines, including knowledge of G-code programming. Use of Haas machinery preferred.
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for part modeling and programming preferred
Experience machining materials such as nickel alloys, Inconcel, copper, and stainless steel
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.
Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques in aerospace manufacturing.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and industry developments.

Salary Range: $75,000-90,000, based on experience
