Salary: $27-$35hr

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Set-Up Technician to support production by preparing and optimizing machine setups to meet scheduling and quality requirements. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient job setup, producing first article parts that meet specifications, and maintaining equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up jobs in accordance with production schedules.
• Ensure setups are capable of producing quality first article parts.
• Perform machine adjustments, offsets, and program edits independently.
• Operate CNC machines and support ongoing production needs.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and assist with breakdowns and repairs.
• Modify programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Create and maintain fixtures as needed.
• Monitor tooling performance and verify proper speeds and feeds.
• Communicate with Production Manager and Scheduling to coordinate workflow.
• Support quality control activities, including creating check sheets.
• Assist in training and mentoring new setup personnel.
• Complete special projects and tasks assigned by the Foreman.
• Follow through on equipment issues—repair, replace, or coordinate external solutions as needed.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a job shop environment with setup experience.
• Experience with CNC controls and software, including: Fanuc, Celos, G-code programming, Mastercam, Editors such as CIMCO or VS Code.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
