Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an experienced Shop Supervisor to support our respected client in Laramie. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone with strong welding, fabrication, and mechanical skills who enjoys working in a fast‑paced shop environment. You will oversee daily shop operations, supervise 1–2 part‑time employees, and ensure high‑quality production standards are consistently met. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Perform MIG welding and pass a weld test
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Ensure quality standards are met with strong attention to detail
Perform painting and finishing work to meet production expectations
Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals
Train, mentor, and support less‑experienced certified welders
Assist with material handling, storage, and preparation for shipment
Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with experience in construction or manufacturing environments
Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication processes
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
Basic math skills for measurements and project calculations
Ability to pass a weld test
Experience supervising or training others is highly preferred
Ability to paint and meet finishing standards
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for most of the shift
Manual dexterity to operate welding and fabrication tools
Ability to work in a shop environment with heat, noise, and dust
Visual accuracy for inspecting welds and measurements
MIG welders and welding tools
Hand tools (grinders, clamps, wrenches, measuring tools)
Power tools (drills, saws, sanders, cutting tools)
Fabrication equipment, jigs, and fixtures
Painting tools (sprayers, brushes, finishing equipment)
Material‑handling tools (carts, dollies, pallet jacks)
PPE including welding helmets, gloves, respirators, and protective gear
Paid time off
Early‑day schedule — home by mid‑afternoon every day
