About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with local business in Tumwater, WA to fill a CDL Vactor Operator role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a career, and has an entrepreneurial mindset. This is a start up company, branching out of an existing company with connections to government contracts. The first contract to complete is out of town, traveling to St. Louis. This job will be completed within 3-4 months, and all future contracts at this point are scheduled to be local to the Tumwater area. But there is a possibility for travel based on company needs.

This position is Direct Hire, starting on with the company from day one. You will receive training and certifications needed to complete the job and be traveling to St. Louis to get started right away. You should expect to be away from home for 2 weeks at a time, and back home for 1 week. Following this pattern until the job is complete (estimated 3-4 months).  The pay rate will range from $40-50/hr based on experience. When on prevailing wage jobs the pay is $65-75/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate vacuum/Vactor trucks.
• Set up and operate sewer cleaning equipment.
• Perform confined space entry in tanks, pits, trenches and other areas that may include climbing, standing and working in awkward positions.

What You Bring:

• Valid CDL A or B with a tanker endorsement
• Lifting, carrying and pulling hoses of up to 100lbs
• Climbing on to the unit (12′ high) for set up and minor maintenance, standing, kneeling or bending for long periods of time.
• Comfortable with confined space entry
• Willingness to travel and be away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time as needed for the job site locations.
• Willingness to complete online training and classes for required certifications including OSHA 10 and Confined Space Entry
