CNC Machinist Level 3 

Position Summary:
Experienced CNC machinist who independently operates 3–5 axis CNC machines and conventional mills/lathes to produce complex aerospace parts. Performs advanced setups, inspections, and troubleshooting, including first article runs and full machine recovery. Typically requires 4–6 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple CNC and conventional machine platforms with minimal supervision
• Perform complex machine setups on 3–5 axis equipment
• Conduct advanced inspections using GD&T and blueprint interpretation
• Validate programs and complete first part runs
• Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with full machine recovery
• Edit CNC programs and create simple tooling programs
• Support production needs and maintain quality and safety standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Advanced machine operation and setup capabilities
• Strong GD&T knowledge and inspection proficiency
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving in machining processes
• Intermediate CNC programming and editing skills
• Basic CAD/CAM familiarity
• Comfortable using computers and shop technology

Experience & Education:

• 4–6 years of machining experience (Level 2 proficiency required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
