Fabrication Shop Helper – Port Allen
$16/HR+
Monday-Friday 7 am - 4 pm.
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is hiring a Fabrication Shop Helper Helper for a local manufacturing company in Port Allen.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Fabrication Shop helper:
- Assist Fabricators and welders with daily shop tasks
- Cut, grind, clean, and prep metal materials
- operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- load/unload materials and help with staging jobs
- Support Assembly and installation of safety systems as needed
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
Skills and Experience REQUIRED:
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
- Must be able to consistently lift heavy materials and be on feet for extended periods
- Must have steel-toed boots before starting
- Must be on time every day
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
