Are you passionate about animals and looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Kennel Attendant to help care for dogs in a shelter. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our animals stay healthy, comfortable, and ready for adoption ❤️🐾

Schedule

Part-time hours: Thursday & Friday (7am to 5pm) and Saturday & Sunday (8am to 5pm)

Pay - $12/hr

Key Responsibilities

🐕 Provide daily care for shelter dogs including feeding, watering, and monitoring overall health
🧼 Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, food bowls, and equipment
🚶 Exercise and socialize dogs through walks and supervised playtime
📝 Observe and report any behavioral or medical concerns to supervisors
🛁 Assist with basic grooming such as bathing and brushing
🏡 Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming shelter environment
🤝 Interact positively with staff, volunteers, and potential adopters

Qualifications

✔ Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
✔ Ability to lift up to 20-50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
✔ Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
✔ Previous animal care or kennel experience preferred but not required
✔ Passion for animal welfare and humane treatment
