Are you a self-sufficient Fabricator who takes pride in building complex structures from the ground up? Express Employment Professionals of Metairie is seeking a highly skilled Welder/Fabricator for a premier industrial shop in Harvey.

This is not a "production line" welding job. We are looking for a true craftsman who can cut, fit, and weld structural carbon steel with precision and independence.

What You Will Do:

• Full-Scale Fabrication: Take a project from raw carbon steel to a finished structural component.

• Expert Welding: Perform high-quality MIG and Flux-Cored (FCAW) welding on heavy structural steel.

• Fitting & Tacking: Self-align and tack-weld components to ensure perfect structural integrity before the final pass.

• Torch Work: Use cutting torches and fabrication tools to shape and prep materials to exact specifications.

• Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret complex structural drawings to layout and build items without constant supervision.

What We Are Looking For:

• The "Fabricator" Skillset: You must be a "self-sufficient" builder who understands fit-up, layout, and structural geometry.

• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in MIG, Flux-Cored welding, and torch cutting.

• Material Expertise: Deep experience working with heavy carbon steel.

• Note on Experience: We are looking for Shop/Industrial Fabricators. While we respect the trade, this role is not a fit for those whose experience is strictly limited to Shipyard or Pipeline welding.

• Compliance: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
