Location: Kenner, LA

Pay: $20.00/hr

Shift: Day Shift (Full-Time)

Are you an experienced equipment operator looking for a stable role with a leading team in Kenner? Express Employment Professionals of Metairie is seeking a skilled Core Drill Operator to handle precise concrete, asphalt, and masonry cutting for major mechanical and structural projects.

What You Will Do:

• Precision Drilling: Operate core drilling machines to create precise circular holes in concrete walls, floors, and ceilings for conduit, piping, and anchors.

• Slab Sawing: Perform straight-line cutting using walk-behind slab saws for trenches, expansion joints, and section removals.

• Technical Setup: Layout cutting locations per blueprints; set up drill rigs, diamond blades, water cooling systems, and vacuum bases.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with plumbers, electricians, and ironworkers to ensure all openings meet structural specifications.

• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations (including dust control) and perform daily inspections of diamond bits and saw blades.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: Proven history operating concrete core drills and slab saws.

• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of diamond cutting tools and the ability to read blueprints and job layouts.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in active construction environments.

• Compliance: Must have a Valid Driver’s License, TWIC card, and REAL ID.

• Reliability: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
