Job Overview The role involves assisting with the installation, relocation, and inspection of restaurant kitchen and refrigeration equipment, as well as delivering goods as needed. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager, requires physical effort, and involves local travel.
Key Responsibilities Installers load and unload equipment, install and troubleshoot kitchen and refrigeration systems, ensure proper completion and cleanliness of jobs, and identify repairs or damaged materials. They follow safety protocols and work under the supervision of the Installation Manager. When performing delivery duties, they confirm package integrity, navigate routes, maintain logs, and perform vehicle inspections, adhering to DOT regulations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands The job operates in warehouses and client sites, requiring lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs, and working in extreme weather conditions. Employees must stand long hours, reach, bend, climb, and walk regularly.
Work Schedule and Travel Full-time hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with potential for long hours, weekend work, and local or occasional out-of-area travel.
Qualifications A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1-2 years of installation and driving experience preferred. Welding skills are a plus. Candidates must pass drug and background checks, possess a valid driver’s license with a good record, and be capable of reading blueprints, using tools, performing math, diagnosing issues, and communicating effectively. Dependability and good attendance are essential.
