General Laborer/Mover

Salary: $15-$20/hr BOE

Our client in Mentor OH is looking for hardworking and dependable General Laborers / Movers to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and being part of a team that helps customers relocate safely and efficiently.

As a General Laborer, you will assist with residential and commercial moving projects by loading and unloading furniture, packing and protecting customer belongings, and ensuring items are transported safely to their destination. The ideal candidate is reliable, has a strong work ethic, and is comfortable with heavy lifting and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews with loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and equipment
• Safely lift, carry, wrap, and move household or office items
• Use moving equipment such as dollies, straps, and padding
• Help pack and unpack customer belongings
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture when necessary
• Maintain clean trucks, equipment, and work areas
• Follow company safety procedures while handling items
• Provide professional and respectful customer service during moves

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
• Comfortable with physical labor and moving work
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Previous moving, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is a plus (not required)

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (occasional weekends depending on jobs)
• Pay: $15 – $20 per hour (depending on experience)
• Location: Base location in Mentor, OH will be traveling across the state
