Express Employment is hiring for Sub-arc welders for a manufacturing plant in Hattiesburg, MS. 

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate submerged arc welding machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
• Select proper welding parameters (voltage, current, travel speed)
• Align and secure metal components before welding
• Monitor weld quality and make adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished welds for defects and ensure they meet specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
• Follow safety standards and procedures at all times

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with submerged arc welding (SAW) techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and welding codes (like AWS standards)
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Knowledge of metallurgy and welding materials
• Physical stamina and ability to work in industrial environments
• Certification (e.g., AWS welding certification) is often required
