Position Overview

The Surgical Assistant is a key member of the perioperative team, working directly with surgeons to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality surgical care. This role involves hands‑on support before, during, and after procedures, including preparing the operating room, assisting with surgical tasks, and maintaining sterile technique throughout all phases of care.

Pay: Up to $82/hr 

13week contract 

Shifts: 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts depending on department needs

Requirements:

• Current NBSTSA – Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or NCCSA– Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) certificate 
• Experience: Minimum of 3 year of recent Surgical Assistant experience (within the last 24 months)
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Current Two-Step TB/Chest X-Ray Clearance (within 1 year)
• N95 Fit Test
• Proof of vaccinations: MMR, TDAP, Varicella, COVID and FLU
