We are currently seeking an experienced Sewing Machine Mechanic to join our team in Sparta! If you have a strong mechanical background and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, we want to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial sewing machines and related equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to reduce machine downtime
• Adjust machine settings for optimal performance and product quality
• Replace worn or defective parts such as needles, belts, motors, and gears
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns on the production floor
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
• Collaborate with production teams to improve machine efficiency

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a sewing machine mechanic or similar maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of industrial sewing machines and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing or textile production environment
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read schematics
• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance/mechanics

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing/production setting with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and production materials
