Human Resources Director – Distribution / Warehouse Operations | Midway, GA

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Human Resources Director for a large and growing distribution / warehouse operation in the Midway, GA area. This is a senior leadership role responsible for directing all HR functions for a high-volume industrial workforce. The HR Director will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership while also maintaining a strong presence within daily operations.

We are seeking a confident, experienced HR professional with a proven background in employee relations, compliance, workforce management, and HR leadership within warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments.

This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage complex HR issues, support operational growth, and maintain a compliant, productive, and positive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all Human Resources operations for warehouse / distribution facility
• Serve as the primary HR leader supporting site leadership and executive management
• Manage employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and terminations
• Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
• Lead recruiting strategy for large hourly workforce as well as salaried staff
• Develop, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures
• Oversee onboarding, training, performance management, and retention programs
• Partner with operations to support staffing levels, productivity, and workforce planning
• Manage workers compensation, unemployment claims, and HR risk management
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and compliance documentation
• Support benefit administration and employee engagement initiatives
• Promote a professional, accountable, and safety-focused work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of HR leadership experience required
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment required
• Proven experience managing large hourly workforces
• Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
• Experience handling investigations, discipline, and conflict resolution
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• PHR / SHRM certification a plus
