Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a CNC Operator for a precision metal fabrication shop in Salem, OR. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll support the production of engineered steel components—working with cutting, forming, machining, and finishing processes—ensuring quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or lasers)

• Load raw materials, execute machine cycles, and monitor outputs

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files

• Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar tools

• Make tool adjustments, handle tool offsets, and perform proof runs

• Report machine errors and maintain accurate production logs

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace

Qualifications

• 1+ years of CNC operation experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication

• Proficiency reading blueprints and CAD/model files

• Familiarity with G/M codes and precision measuring tools 

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Solid mechanical aptitude and basic math skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
