Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local bank for a Senior Financial Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and process improvements within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

• CPA required (no exceptions)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–8 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with report writing and data analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Must pass a background check

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close and prepare financial reports
• Prepare quarterly regulatory reports
• Create and review journal entries and reconciliations
• Analyze financial data and research account discrepancies
• Assist with audits and regulatory examinations
• Support budgeting and internal reporting processes
• Improve and streamline accounting workflows and systems
• Oversee property tax reporting for multiple locations
• Mentor and support accounting staff as needed
• Participate in ongoing industry and regulatory training

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged sitting and computer use
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
