Pay: $25–$29/hr

Location: Salem, OR
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Some schedule flexibility may be available

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our fabrication team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and coating industrial equipment using a variety of paint systems, including epoxies, while ensuring a high-quality, durable finish.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and paint industrial equipment, support structures, and small parts

  • Mix paints and two-part epoxy systems to proper ratios

  • Apply coatings evenly with no runs, drips, or voids

  • Maintain production flow and complete jobs on schedule

  • Perform preventative maintenance on paint equipment

  • Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, and work area

  • Move large assemblies using forklifts (certification provided)

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

  • Work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of industrial painting experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with various coatings, including epoxy systems

  • Strong knowledge of paint prep, mixing, and application techniques

  • Ability to maintain and repair spray equipment

  • Forklift and rigging experience (or ability to learn)

  • Basic math skills (for mixing ratios)

  • Basic computer skills for time tracking

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Ability to wear a respirator for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in high-temperature environments

  • Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods

  • Must be able to wear PPE (respirator, gloves, goggles, ear protection)

Work Environment

  • Industrial machine shop setting

  • Exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, and temperature changes

  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor conditions
