Express Employment Professionals of Winsor is hiring for a saw/machine operator for a client in Hartford county.  The ideal candidate will have exceptional measuring skills and experience with cutting machines such as a band saw. As an operator you will set up, maintain, and operates power saws (band, circular, or CNC) to cut metal or plastic materials according to technical blueprints and work orders. 

Location: Hartford, CT

Salary: $18/hr

Shift: 1^st shift MON-FRI 7 AM - 3:30 PM OR 8 AM - 4:30PM

Evaluation hire position:

• 2 years of relevant work in the same company.
• Plastic and foam cutting experience is a huge plus.
• Power tool and machine operating experience.
• Math skills - converting numbers to fractions.
• Experience using measuring tapes and measuring tools.
• Background and drug testing is required.

Responsibilities:

• Operating saws of all kinds ranging from table saws to computer operated machines.
• Measuring product for cutting.
• Some lifting and loading.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs but most product is lightweight.
