Express Employment Professionals of Longview are currently seeking Brake Press Operator for a manufacturing company in Longview. Pay is $16-18/hr. DOE. Must be able to work day or night shift.

Job Summary

The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to blueprints and production specifications. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
• Select appropriate tools, dies, and materials for each job
• Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards
• Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and correct defects
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, welders, and fabrication teams
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Brake Press Operator or similar role preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of metal types, gauges, and bending techniques
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong safety awareness and work ethic.
