Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable, and safety-minded individual to join our team as an Equipment Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment to load and unload containers and trailers, as well as lift and move scrap metal and other materials throughout the yard.

This position works outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to safety at all times.

 

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, specifically a Caterpillar M325D Excavator with magnet attachment, to move and sort materials

• Load and unload scrap metal and debris for processing or shipment

• Verify load weights and ensure equipment is operated within safe lifting capacities

• Inspect incoming materials and identify unacceptable items

• Drain and remove fluids and gases from vehicles and appliances when required

• Guide truck drivers into proper position for safe loading and unloading

• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience operating heavy equipment (excavator experience preferred)

• Strong attention to safety and detail

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
