Journeyman Electrician – Residential & Commercial Service

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join a growing electrical service team supporting both residential and commercial customers throughout the Greater Richmond area. This first-shift role offers steady year-round work, competitive pay, the use of a company vehicle during the workday, and the opportunity to take on a wide variety of service and repair projects. The position also includes occasional 24-hour on-call coverage to support customer needs.

About the Role

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will perform a blend of installation, maintenance, and repair work across homes, commercial properties, and light industrial environments. You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical issues, completing code-compliant repairs, and ensuring each job is handled safely and professionally. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, field variety, and delivering high-quality service.

Pay Range

$36.06 – $38.46 per hour, depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Diagnose issues and determine effective, safe solutions.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service at every job site.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, organization, and code compliance.

Tools & Equipment Used

Multimeters, voltage testers, wire strippers, pliers, cutters, screwdrivers, drills, saws, conduit benders, and fish tape.

What You Bring

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Virginia DPOR).
  • Experience with residential and commercial electrical work.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and safe work practices.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.

Hours & Schedule

Full-time first-shift schedule with overtime available and occasional 24-hour on-call rotations.
