Customer Experience Associate Job Summary:

A growing and well-established distribution company in the Grand Rapids area is seeking a Customer Experience Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for supporting customer accounts, managing orders from start to finish, and serving as a key point of contact between customers and internal teams. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing or distribution who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing a high level of service.

Customer Experience Associate Responsibilities:

  • Management of customer inquiries and processing of customer orders with timely and accurate order confirmation
  • Coordination and tracking of customer shipments with proactive communication on delivery status
  • Management of open orders and backorders including expediting shortages and providing consistent updates
  • Acting as a liaison between customers, sales, materials, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate communication
  • Support of sales efforts through forecasting, placement sheet updates, and monitoring customer usage trends
  • Maintenance of accurate customer pricing and preparation of quotations
  • Identification and resolution of customer issues using sound judgment and a service-focused approach
  • Development and maintenance of strong customer relationships through professional and empathetic communication
  • Evaluation of current processes with recommendations for improvement to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Support of internal team members through collaboration, problem solving, and escalation assistance

Schedule & Pay:  

  • 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
  • $20/HR 

Customer Experience Associate Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience required, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience with account management, inside sales, or sales support strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and communicate effectively
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
