Location: Punta Gorda, FL
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary:
Seeking a dependable CDL B Driver to operate a company truck and deliver lumber and building materials to local customers and job sites. This role requires safe driving practices, timely deliveries, and professional customer interaction. Candidates must be comfortable assisting with loading and unloading materials as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle on local delivery routes

• Load, secure, and transport materials using proper tie-downs and safety procedures

• Deliver products accurately and on schedule to customer locations

• Assist with unloading materials at delivery sites when required

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Maintain delivery logs, paperwork, and DOT compliance

• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers

• Follow all safety policies and traffic regulations

Requirements:

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL B)

• Clean driving record

• Ability to lift and move materials as needed

• Strong reliability and punctuality

• Good customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous delivery or flatbed experience

• Experience strapping and securing loads

• Forklift experience is a plus

Work Environment:

• Outdoor and warehouse settings

• Frequent lifting, bending, and climbing in and out of truck cab
