Material Handler/Service driver

Salary: 21.96- 24.84

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:   

 

Department forklift driver
Pulls chemicals as required to meet production schedule.
Clean up work area during and at end of shift.

 

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR DUTIES:   
1. Operates material handling (forklift) equipment.
2. Pulls and returns raw materials and components as required for liquid production.
3. Responsible for maintaining chemical storage areas for compliance.
4. Manages “Hot Box” schedule.
5. Labeling of containers to meet customer specifications and DOT regulations.  
6. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment for 5-S compliance.  
7. Cleans and washes in house totes for usage.
8. General clean up duties; sweeping, squeegee floors, cleaning of mix and process equipment, operation of
floor scrubber etc.   
9. Works on production lines when required.
10.Back up for shipping and receiving / material handling.
11.Sorts pallets by designation prior to returning to yard.
12.Understand and follow all safety rules and company policies.  
13.Understand all work instructions for this position.
14.Help train new service drivers as required.  
15.Any other duties assigned.  

 

Education:  

 

Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, High School diploma or equivalent and/or forklift license a plus but not required for hire.

 

Physical Ability: 

 

 Lift 55# bags and ability to move raw material drums up to 500# with use of appropriate material handling devices
