Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and customer-focused Part-Time Design Consultant to join our team in McMinnville, TN. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for interior design and a strong ability to connect with customers to bring their vision to life. Previous design consulting experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the flooring industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers to understand their design needs, preferences, and project goals

• Provide personalized design recommendations, including color and texture combinations

• Deliver excellent customer service through active listening and effective communication

• Perform inside sales activities and assist customers throughout the purchasing process

• Operate POS systems for transactions and order processing

• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom displays

• Stay up to date on product knowledge and current design trends

Qualifications:

• Previous design consulting experience required (flooring industry experience preferred)

• Proven retail sales experience within interior design highly preferred

• Strong eye for color, texture, and design combinations

• Ability to see and accurately differentiate colors

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems
