Shop Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to oversee daily shop operations and lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of welding processes—particularly MIG welding.

While this position does not involve hands-on welding, the ideal candidate must be able to evaluate weld quality, identify defects, and troubleshoot welding-related issues to ensure high standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support shop employees, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met

• Evaluate welding work for quality and compliance with specifications

• Identify and resolve welding-related and production issues

• Manage employee performance, including coaching, documentation, and evaluations

• Maintain accurate records and reports using computer systems (Excel, ERP, etc.)

• Coordinate workflow and ensure deadlines are achieved

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of MIG welding processes and quality standards

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or shop environment

• Experience with employee management, documentation, and performance evaluations

• Proficiency in computer systems, including Excel and ERP software

• Strong organizational and communication skills

Compensation:

• $40.87 per hour
