General Labor/Racking

 

Express Employment Professionals – St. Paul, MN is assisting a small manufacturing company to fill two General labor/Racking positions on their team. Position is located in the East metro.

 

Pay: $20 – 24/hour DOE

 

Schedule:   1^st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Examine products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
2. Visually examine products at various stages of production, including before packaging, during processing, and after completion.
3. Look for defects such as stains, blisters, missing plate, etc., as per the standard list of defects from QC to ensure consistency.
4. Document the results of inspections, including pass/fail grades and the number of products inspected.
5. Use a variety of tools and equipment to perform inspections.
6. Rack parts that will be needed in the plating process.
7. Help with masking parts when necessary.
8. Perform in-process inspections as a follow up to rework processes and corrective actions.
9. Support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
10. Contribute ideas/solutions to Quality manual, quality criteria, operator work instructions and forms.
11. Assist root cause problem solving and implementation when necessary
12. Participate in and/or support projects as requested by management
13. May work non-routine hours as required to maintain production schedule

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have experience working in a manufacturing company
2. Good visual acuity
3. High School Diploma or equivalent
4. Previous experience in manufacturing or quality inspection role preferred but not required.
5. Average or better math skills
6. Ability to stand and walk for long periods
7. Good color perception and manual dexterity
8. Ability to work in an orderly, logical manner with close attention to detail.
9. Proficiency in English for verbal and written communication.

Workplace Demands and Environment

1. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing
2. Will be exposed to manufacturing environment that has fumes, dust, gaseous, noisy, and weather exposures.
3. Walking, squatting, lifting, pushing and pulling carts, reaching, climbing, and bending may all be required
4. Employee must be able to pass a vision exam before employment and annually
