Purpose:

Ensure all required parts from Fabrication, Welding, Paint, and purchased components are collected, verified, and delivered as complete kits to the C&I assembly line and welding production orders. This role supports on-time production by reducing line stoppages, missing components, and wasted time searching for materials.

 

Scope:
Responsible for preparing and delivering kits for all C&I assembly line production orders, customer builds, and welding work orders using parts sourced from fabrication, welding, paint, and warehouse inventory.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review production orders and bills of materials (BOM) to identify required components

• Pick and stage parts from fabrication, welding, paint, and warehouse areas

• Verify part numbers, quantities, and condition of materials

• Assemble and label kits for production orders

• Deliver complete kits to assembly lines and welding booths on time

• Update inventory and production systems (AS400 / Powerlink)

• Request cycle counts or deviations for missing or incorrect parts

• Maintain accurate documentation, tally sheets, and production board updates

• Follow escalation procedures to resolve shortages or delays

Equipment & Tools:

• Computer systems (AS400, Powerlink)

• Kitting carts and pallets

• Printers and inventory tracking tools

• Forklift and material handling equipment

Qualifications & Skills:

 

• Experience in manufacturing, kitting, or material handling preferred

• Ability to read and interpret BOMs and production orders

• Strong attention to detail and organization

• Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment (preferred)

• Basic computer and inventory system knowledge

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
