Express Employment Professionals – Akron is recruiting on behalf of a confidential, privately held company located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for an experienced Controller. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a high-impact leadership role within an EOS-driven organization.

The Controller will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the ownership group, driving financial clarity, operational discipline, and scalable infrastructure to support long-term growth.

Position Summary

The Controller is responsible for accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound business decision-making. This role plays a key part in aligning Finance, HR, and IT functions while supporting EOS processes, accountability structures, and organizational scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full company P&L
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash flow management
• Provide LMA leadership across Finance, HR, and IT
• Serve as a key financial advisor to ownership
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls
• Lead and support ERP optimization (NetSuite experience preferred)

EOS Alignment & Responsibilities

• Maintain and report on financial scorecards and KPIs
• Participate in Level 10 (L10) meetings
• Support Rocks, accountability charts, and EOS structure
• Ensure the right people are in the right seats within managed departments

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Controller or CFO
• Strong background in P&L ownership and financial leadership
• NetSuite ERP experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
