Shipping & Receiving Associate – Rockdale, IL

Location: Rockdale, IL
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
Training Shift: Same as above
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Assignment Duration: 90–180 days (contract-to-hire)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support warehouse operations in our Rockdale facility. This role includes receiving raw materials, preparing finished products for shipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and safely operating a forklift. This position works within an industrial, pigment‑based manufacturing environment and requires comfort performing physical labor.
This is a 90–180 day contract‑to‑hire assignment with strong potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check-in, and verify materials from internal plant departments
• Prepare finished goods and materials for shipment
• Prepare containers and product for inventory or outbound distribution
• Accurately create and apply inventory and shipment labels
• Operate a forklift to retrieve and move finished products
• Stage orders at the shipping dock
• Load carrier trucks safely and efficiently

Job Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Forklift experience required (onsite certification provided)
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass:
  • 9‑panel drug screen
  • 7‑year state and county background check
  • Fit‑for‑duty strength test at Athletico (post‑interview)
• Minimum 3 years of employment history
• Comfortable working at heights and performing physical labor
• Ability to work in a dirty, pigment‑based manufacturing environment
