Position: Receptionist / Inventory Clerk
Location: Yaphank, NY
A growing company in Yaphank is seeking a reliable and personable Receptionist / Inventory Clerk to join their team. This position combines front office responsibilities with light inventory support and is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people while also helping keep operations organized behind the scenes.
Pay: $23–$25 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible start time available if needed)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet visitors and maintain a professional, welcoming front office environment
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to customer and client emails
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Schedule appointments and meetings as needed
  • May be asked to handle light billing/pay bills on behalf of company
  • Perform light data entry in Excel to help track and update inventory records
  • Spend approximately 2–3 hours per day assisting in the inventory/stock room
  • Support general administrative and operational tasks in a small office environment
Qualifications:
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and clients in person, by phone, and via email
  • Comfortable working with technology/computers, including Excel for simple data entry
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a variety of responsibilities
  • Comfortable assisting in both office and stock room environments
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • The ideal candidate is organized, professional with customers, flexible with day-to-day tasks, and comfortable supporting both administrative and inventory-related responsibilities in a smaller office setting.
