💵 Pay: $25.00

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a Lab Technician for our client in the CRIPPLE CREEK area.

🛠️ Requirements

• Proficiency with Word, Excel, email - Experience with AutoCAD would be a big plus
• History of learning new skills and problem solving as a team member
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to report for scheduled shifts in the Cripple Creek area
• Consistent and reliable attendance 
• Background requirements may apply

📦 Major Job Duties

• Strong Safety Awareness – Always following lab safety protocols and using PPE correctly (gloves, respirator, goggles, ear protection). Candidate must be willing to be cleaned shaved since the use of a respirator will be required.
• Detail-oriented multitasker- Carefully following sample prep procedures (Labeling, drying, crushing, splitting, pulverizing) to prevent contamination or mix-ups. Can safely and efficiently handle multiple stages of a process simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and safety.
• Work Environment – The candidate will begin in the Sample Preparation department, a repetitive, fast-paced, and physically demanding area. The team typically processes approximately 300 ore samples (about 15 pounds each) during a 12-hour shift. This work involves frequent bending, twisting, and lifting while labeling, crushing, and milling samples efficiently, without compromising safety or quality. The area can be hot, dusty, and noisy, so hearing protection is mandatory, and a respirator may be required depending on conditions. Employees must consistently follow all safety and PPE requirements to ensure a safe and productive workplace.
• Organize and store samples, be able to split or saw rock core
• Accurately record the QA-QC standards
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision
• Be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Have a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines
• Ability to lift / carry as needed
