Overview:
Our busy, fast-paced orthopedic practice is seeking a flexible, dependable, and proactive Medical Office Floater to join our team. This position plays a key support role by providing coverage across both front and back office areas as needed, ensuring seamless daily operations and consistent, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage for front desk reception: check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and handling high call volumes

• Assist clinical team with rooming patients, taking vitals, prepping for exams, and entering information into the EHR

• Float between departments (e.g., imaging, surgery scheduling, referrals, medical records) based on daily needs

• Support providers and clinical staff by anticipating workflow needs and responding to requests promptly

• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and readiness of exam rooms and common areas

• Ensure patient inquiries and needs are addressed with professionalism and urgency

• Handle administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, filing, and chart preparation

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a medical office (orthopedic or specialty experience preferred)

• Strong multitasking skills and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, or similar)

• Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills

• Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not required

• High school diploma or equivalent required
